The drama heats up once the crew returns from Miami. This was an exceptionally tough week for Whitney, and viewers are sure that she would much rather be lounging in the sun than stuck in the cold New York weather. Whitney learned this week that not only is the temperature cold in New York, but so are the people.

Problems ensued when Whitney and Olivia were assigned to pair up for a project at DVF. Jessica Alba was going to appear on the cover of Elle and it was up to the duo to pick Jessica an amazing outfit. Olivia picked some beautiful things, but her outfit selections were not as beautiful as the one Whitney had picked out.

The bosses had lifted the cover of Elle to Olivia and Whitney, and to Whitney's delight, her outfit was picked. There was just one teeny, tiny problem. Olivia had taken all of the credit for the outfit. She was so proud of herself for putting together such an amazing look, yet she was not responsible for anything. Her inability to look her bosses in the eye should have been a signal right there.

As if that was not enough for Whitney to worry about, she is also having issues with Jay. The fact that he is currently "staying" at her apartment is making her slightly uncomfortable. Not to mention, he claims he is "binge drinking" and not coming home until 6:00 in the morning. Now there's a winner.

To top it off, he casually ran into his ex-girlfriend Danielle at the Pink Elephant Club. What a coincidence! Jay happened to run into her down in Florida, and now she has made a short trip to New York. What is even better was that she had several days left to kill in New York. I wonder who she would want to spend her time with on those days.

If she could not trust her bratty colleague or irresponsible rock star boyfriend, Whitney realized that she could always trust her girlfriends. The group had gone out casually to talk and catch up on things several times throughout the episode. For the first time since the season's premiere in January, Allie was not having problems with Adam. It seemed as though Whitney might be falling for the same type of untrustworthy boy.

Poor Whitney is brought to tears twice during the episode. Between the wannabe fashionista Olivia taking credit for Whitney's ideas and Jay running around the Big Apple with his ex-girlfriend, Whitney just has no other option than to wallow. Viewers cannot blame her. The only thing she should have done differently was perhaps mention to her boss that Olivia's amazing work was in fact not her own ideas.

What will be waiting for Whitney in the weeks ahead? Will she confront the people of DVF? Will she battle it out with the unoriginal Olivia? How will she handle Jay's late nights and visits with Danielle? As a New Yorker, Whitney has come to realize that not everyone at work is like Lauren, and that things are much different on the other side of the country.
