A scandalous love affair has strained relations between members of the Quadrangle's editorial board. On March 1, Dominic Delgardo, former Quadrangle editor, discovered Jon Stone, Editor-in-Chief, and Nick Marricco, recently-appointed News Editor, cuddling on a couch in the Quadrangle office, embracing affectionately.

Delgardo, coffee cup in hand, rushed into the office between classes at 11:00 to pick up his bag. Stone, clad in pink Easter bunny boxers and a Cleveland Indians cap, was whispering in Marricco's ear. Marricco, too, seemed distracted; his glasses were crooked and his hair tousled, and a bottle of Chardonnay chilled in an ice bucket. Delgardo, overcome with surprise, screamed and spilled his coffee all over the couple, staining Marricco's half-buttoned shirt and burning Stone's exposed leg.

Delgardo, heartbroken, threw himself down on the ground and cried hysterically. In between sniffles, he reached for the bottle of Chardonnay and tried to chug it, but Marricco called Manhattan College Security to escort him out.

Stone appointed Marricco News Editor on the following day, and the two left for a three-day rendezvous in Los Angeles, California. Delgardo severed ties with both Stone and Marricco.

The shift in position startled the rest of the editorial board. Stone offered no explanation for Dominic's departure, but journalists have their ways of finding information

Liz Harris, Opinions Editor, commented on the incident. She said, "I really am not surprised at Nick and Jon. They have been spending a lot of time together. They were 20 minutes late for last week's meeting; they came strolling in together, beaming. I remember once I sat in between them at a meeting, and Jon had the nerve to ask me to move over. I wouldn't get up, so they passed notes to each other, written in pink pen and decorated with hearts. I also knew something was up when they began writing and reciting haikus to each other-Jon and Dom's old pastime. They need to chill out a little-relax."

Members of the editorial board have also commented on Marricco and Stone's abrupt behavioral changes. Harris said, "Nick and I used to be great friends-we used to hang out all the time. Now, he blocks all his friends online and doesn't return phone calls. If I do speak to him, he only talks about 'Johnny Boy' or "Big Jon," what he's wearing. He always worries that Jon won't like his outfits. He also won't stop singing Hall and Oates songs, and I really can't stand it anymore."
