Real World is Becoming Too Real

While these are topics discussed by people who are not on television everyday, seeing these people argue about it time after time has become old. It is possible that it is not the content of the episodes that is making the show increasingly boring-it is the cast itself. The Philadelphia cast had no real "stand-out character" as many of the previous seasons of the show have had. Over the previous 14 season of the show there has always been at least one person that everyone remembers, this season there seemed to be none.
Maybe the fact that the cast did not have that one particular person who caught the audience's attention was more due to the fact that they did not enjoy the chemistry between these certain cast members. It has become clearer that viewers are more interested in seeing their favorite, and mostly controversial, cast members on The Real World/ Road Rules Challenges. The current challenge, The Inferno 2, has a number of the notorious cast members that audiences have grown to love, because of their ability to make the show interesting. While the cast members from Philadelphia were not interesting together, it is likely that they will be more entertaining when confronted with cast members such as Mike, Veronica, Beth, Dan and Julie.
Although the overall impression of the 15 season of The Real World was negative, viewers can look forward to a new, hopefully more interesting, cast next season, and if this season is a bust also, the audience always has the challenges to look entertain them.
